Computer can be regarded the greatest achievement of this century. It so difficult to talk about what the role of computer is because computer has innumerable roles. Computer was first designed to facilitate a very big organization in America, but as the years progressed it started to be used commercially and eventually domestically. There are many tasks which can be completed by the use of computer, but I am just going to discuss some of the very important industries.
Computer is playing an integral role in our social life. We human beings are living in a society where we have to interact with other people. Computer is tool which has successfully enabled us to communicate with people for free. I remember a time when it used to be very expensive to make a call to any country in the western world, but now things have changed. People can easily send e-mail to each other and talk to each other on skype.
Computer has also helped me promote business activities and more countries which have thrived economically will have to give credit to the computer. Most purchases and sales are made via a computer. It can be said that computer is the single thing which actually initiated the globalization process. Computer has even changed the conventional means of purchase as most women in the western countries refrain from going to the stores as all the stores have made their online stores which have facilitated the people tremendously.
There was a time when teachers claimed that you won’t learn anything if you do not come to the class, but now teachers have made their own online lectures so that the students study in an easier way to impart knowledge. There are many universities which have even made their online schools and everything has to be studied on the computer and even the exam has to be attempted on the internet.
