Addressing Social Challenges: Confronting Evils in Pakistan

Introduction: Confronting the Shadow of Social Evils

In the diverse fabric of Pakistani society, there exist deep-rooted social evils that pose significant challenges to the nation's progress, prosperity, and well-being. From entrenched gender inequality to pervasive poverty, from rampant corruption to the scourge of religious intolerance, these social maladies undermine the fabric of society and hinder the realization of Pakistan's full potential.

Understanding the Landscape of Social Evils

Gender Inequality and Women's Rights

Despite progress in recent years, gender inequality remains a pervasive issue in Pakistan, with women facing discrimination and violence in various spheres of life. Deeply entrenched patriarchal norms and cultural traditions perpetuate gender disparities in education, employment, and political participation, denying women equal opportunities and rights.

Poverty and Income Inequality

Poverty remains a pressing challenge in Pakistan, with a significant portion of the population living below the poverty line. Economic disparities, unequal distribution of resources, and lack of access to basic services contribute to the cycle of poverty, depriving millions of Pakistanis of adequate food, shelter, and healthcare.

Corruption and Governance Issues

Corruption permeates various levels of Pakistani society, undermining institutional integrity, eroding public trust, and hindering socio-economic development. Cronyism, nepotism, and bribery plague government institutions, stifling innovation, impeding progress, and perpetuating inequality and injustice.

Religious Intolerance and Extremism

Pakistan grapples with religious intolerance and sectarian violence, fueled by extremist ideologies and political agendas. Minority communities, including Christians, Hindus, and Ahmadis, face discrimination, persecution, and violence, undermining the nation's pluralistic heritage and fostering a climate of fear and mistrust.

Strategies for Addressing Social Evils

Empowering Women and Promoting Gender Equality

Promoting gender equality and women's empowerment is essential to addressing social inequalities and advancing sustainable development in Pakistan. Investing in girls' education, economic empowerment, and legal protections can help break the cycle of poverty and discrimination, fostering inclusive growth and social cohesion.

Tackling Poverty through Social Welfare Programs

Combatting poverty requires a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying structural and institutional factors driving economic inequality. Implementing social welfare programs, providing targeted assistance to vulnerable populations, and promoting inclusive economic policies can help reduce poverty and improve livelihoods for millions of Pakistanis.

Strengthening Institutions and Fighting Corruption

Building transparent, accountable, and responsive institutions is crucial to combating corruption and promoting good governance in Pakistan. Strengthening anti-corruption laws, enhancing transparency and oversight mechanisms, and promoting citizen engagement can help root out corruption and restore public trust in government institutions.

Promoting Interfaith Harmony and Tolerance

Fostering interfaith harmony and tolerance is essential to combating religious extremism and sectarian violence in Pakistan. Promoting interfaith dialogue, protecting the rights of religious minorities, and countering extremist narratives can help build a more inclusive and pluralistic society, where all citizens can coexist peacefully regardless of their religious beliefs.

Conclusion: Towards a Brighter Future for Pakistan

In conclusion, addressing the social evils in Pakistan requires a concerted effort from all sectors of society, including government, civil society, and the private sector. By tackling gender inequality, poverty, corruption, and religious intolerance head-on, Pakistan can build a more equitable, prosperous, and harmonious society for future generations.

Addressing Traffic Woes: Tackling Congestion in Pakistan's Urban Centers

Introduction: Navigating the Chaos of Urban Traffic

In the bustling metropolises of Pakistan, such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, traffic congestion has become a pervasive and pressing issue, impacting the lives of millions of residents on a daily basis. As populations grow, urbanization accelerates, and vehicle ownership rises, the challenge of managing traffic flow and ensuring efficient mobility has become a top priority for policymakers, urban planners, and citizens alike.

Understanding the Causes of Traffic Congestion

Rapid Urbanization and Population Growth

The rapid influx of people into urban areas, driven by factors such as rural-urban migration, population growth, and economic opportunities, has led to an exponential increase in the number of vehicles on the roads. This influx has far outpaced the expansion of road infrastructure, resulting in bottlenecks, gridlock, and prolonged travel times.

Inadequate Infrastructure and Planning

Many of Pakistan's major cities suffer from inadequate road infrastructure, poorly planned urban development, and a lack of integrated transportation systems. Narrow roads, poorly maintained thoroughfares, insufficient public transportation options, and haphazard urban sprawl exacerbate traffic congestion and make commuting a nightmare for residents.

The Impact of Traffic Congestion on Society and Economy

Economic Costs and Productivity Losses

Traffic congestion exacts a heavy toll on the economy, leading to lost productivity, increased fuel consumption, and higher transportation costs. Delays in transit times impede the efficient movement of goods and services, hampering business operations, and hindering economic growth. Moreover, idling vehicles contribute to air pollution and environmental degradation, further exacerbating the socio-economic impact of congestion.

Quality of Life and Public Health

The stress, frustration, and time wasted in traffic congestion take a toll on the quality of life of urban residents, leading to decreased well-being and diminished social cohesion. Moreover, the air pollution generated by vehicular emissions poses significant risks to public health, exacerbating respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular diseases, and other health conditions.

Strategies for Mitigating Traffic Woes

Investing in Public Transportation

Expanding and improving public transportation infrastructure is critical to reducing reliance on private vehicles and alleviating traffic congestion. Investments in mass transit systems, such as buses, trains, and metro networks, can provide affordable, efficient, and sustainable mobility options for urban residents, encouraging modal shift and reducing traffic volumes on the roads.

Promoting Active Transport and Non-Motorized Mobility

Encouraging walking, cycling, and other forms of active transport can help reduce congestion, improve public health, and enhance the livability of cities. Investing in pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, dedicated cycling lanes, and urban green spaces can create safer and more accessible environments for pedestrians and cyclists, reducing dependence on cars for short-distance trips.

Conclusion: Towards a Sustainable and Accessible Urban Future

In conclusion, addressing the traffic problems in big cities of Pakistan requires a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach that integrates transportation planning, urban design, and sustainable development principles. By investing in public transportation, promoting active transport, and implementing smart mobility solutions, cities can create more livable, accessible, and sustainable environments for all residents.

The Crucial Role of Media in Shaping Pakistan's Political Landscape

Introduction: Understanding the Nexus between Media and Politics

In the dynamic realm of Pakistan's political landscape, the media plays a pivotal role in shaping public opinion, influencing policy decisions, and holding those in power accountable. From traditional print and broadcast outlets to the ever-expanding digital sphere, media platforms wield immense influence in shaping the discourse surrounding political issues in the country.

The Evolution of Media in Pakistan: From Censorship to Freedom

Emergence of a Free Press

Pakistan's media landscape has undergone a significant transformation over the years, transitioning from a state-controlled apparatus to a vibrant and independent industry. Following the liberalization of media policies in the early 2000s, there was a proliferation of private television channels, radio stations, and online news portals, providing citizens with unprecedented access to information and diverse viewpoints.

Challenges and Controversies

However, this newfound freedom has not been without its challenges. Media outlets often face pressure from political parties, government authorities, and powerful interest groups, leading to instances of censorship, intimidation, and self-censorship. Moreover, the rise of sensationalism, misinformation, and biased reporting has raised concerns about the credibility and ethical standards of journalism in Pakistan.

The Role of Media in Political Awareness and Education

Informing the Public

One of the primary functions of the media in Pakistan is to inform the public about political developments, government policies, and socio-economic issues. Through news reports, investigative journalism, and analysis programs, media outlets play a crucial role in educating citizens about their rights, responsibilities, and the workings of the political system.

Shaping Public Opinion

Media coverage can significantly influence public opinion and perceptions of political leaders, parties, and policies. Through news reports, editorials, talk shows, and social media discussions, media platforms shape the narrative surrounding key political issues, framing debates, and shaping public discourse. In this way, the media acts as a watchdog, scrutinizing the actions of those in power and holding them accountable to the electorate.

Media as a Platform for Political Debate and Discourse

Facilitating Dialogue and Debate

Media platforms provide a space for political actors, experts, and citizens to engage in meaningful dialogue and debate on pressing issues facing the nation. Talk shows, panel discussions, and public forums allow for the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and solutions, fostering a more informed and participatory democracy.

Amplifying Voices of Marginalized Groups

The media also plays a crucial role in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, including women, minorities, and socio-economically disadvantaged groups. By providing a platform for their concerns, grievances, and aspirations, media outlets help ensure that their perspectives are heard and their rights are upheld in the political process.

Conclusion: Navigating the Complex Interplay of Media and Politics

In conclusion, the role of media in Pakistan politics is multifaceted and complex, encompassing elements of information dissemination, opinion shaping, and democratic accountability. While the media serves as a vital source of information and a forum for political debate, it also faces challenges related to censorship, bias, and ethical standards. As Pakistan continues to navigate its democratic journey, it is essential to uphold the principles of press freedom, journalistic integrity, and media plurality to ensure a vibrant and informed public discourse.

Travelling in Pakistan - BA English Essay

Pakistan, our motherland is blessed with all types of natural resources, be it hundreds of kilometers of coal reservoirs or the breath taking beauty of Kashmir. The scenic beauty of a country not only makes it a heaven on earth but also supports its economy through increasing the tourist’s turnouts.

The beautiful valleys of Hunza and Kashmir have celestial beauty. Visitors are overwhelmed by the kilometers of lush green lands right in the middle of soaring mountains. But the government of Pakistan did not pay heed to groom country as a tourist attraction until recent years. The traveling in Pakistan became much developed with the founding of ‘ Pakistan tourism development Cooperation’.

PTDC developed an infrastructure of road networks, hotels and cafeterias to promote tourism throughout Pakistan. They have facilitated the tourists visiting the far fledged areas with the construction of world class motels. The efficient highway networks have also cut down the time consumption for travelling and have made the route much safe and protected by highway authorities. They have built pit stops, canteens, toilet facilities and restaurants all along the highway for the convenience of travelers. They organize events such as ‘Swat Mela’ to encourage the tourists to come over and enjoy the beauty of Valleys. The new additions to tourist attractions are the ‘Pir Sohawa’ and ‘National Monument’ designed in the country’s capital.

The number of tourists coming to Pakistan has decreased oddly due to the recent terrorist activities in the country. The pledge of PTDC to enhance tourism in Pakistan is very rewarding in bringing out a soft image of Pakistan as well as to support the country’s declining economy.

Religious Tolerance - BA English Essay

The societies throughout the world are stratified on the basis of religions. The religion is usually among the inheritance of our parents and forefathers. It is the set of beliefs and the code of conduct which drives their daily life activities. The religious tolerance means that the people in a society not only follow their own religion but also respect the others religion.

When people of different religions are inhabitants of same territory, religious tolerance plays a pivotal role in maintaining peace and harmony across the land. The world today is facing disastrous consequences of cultivating religious ethnocentrism in the previous decades. Clash of civilization is a product of this religious fanaticism. People around the world are victimized and exploited due to following their religion. ‘War on terror’ is the biggest and most heinous example of this exploitation. Few Muslim fanatics waged a war against the world super power on the basis of religion and since then America is leading the war, exploiting Muslims and their natural assets in all Islamic countries

The recent example of religious impatience is the incineration of Christian Community in Lahore, where few arsonists torched down the houses of Christians. There was an outcry on every news channel. At the same time Muslims in Burma are facing discrimination and victimization from Buddhists community.

To sum it up I would like to say that religious tolerance is a virtue which is praised in every religion. The holy Quran has described it that  ‘ There is no compulsion in religion’. We should respect every religion and should abstain from hurting the feeling of other believers.

Science an Enemy of Man - BA English Essay

Rudimentary knowledge of science leads us to believe that science has only facilitated us in this world, but contrary to this wrong belief science as done some serious damage to the human kind. There are even some religions which consider science a bad omen and a devil which should be eliminated from the life of a human being.

I would like to tell you about some of the bad things which have been come to this world because of science. Science has been a tool of evil men to manipulate the minds of the people and make them do things which they deem to believe necessary for their success. The perfect example would be weapons of mass destruction. Do you know that we human beings are living in the world where 60% of the worth is covered by water and 20% is covered by wildlife and yet we human being fight with each other for the acquisition of land and resources.

There are many people who believe that all medicines and remedies have been developed because of science, but the reality is that these medicines have always existed because they were mostly consisting in the plants but some very big organizations have used science to make expensive medicines, and the reason they presented for such price is the research which they have to do to make the medicine, but in actual these herbs and medicines are a blessing of Allah and science claims it to be an invention of it.

Consequences of War - BA English Essay

What is a war? It is very easy to discuss wars and discuss the impacts of them but we can simply envisage the misery through which people have to go through in a war. No matter what the causes and no matter what the achievements are, wars always have devastating impact on people.

A human life is very valuable and it has been consistently repeated in every religion and constitution in this world. Wars usually happen to acquire resources or to settle enmity but the only achieved is the loss of lives.  Loss of a human life deprives a person of his basic right to live and also puts his or her family in the position to tolerate the unbearable loss.

Wars do not just happen and they do not just stop. There is a lot of money involved in it. A very strong country like America is on the verge of bankruptcy just because it has started war on terror. The perfect example is of Pakistan which has been in a state of war for the past decade and Pakistan has lost billions of dollars in this process. People are not ready to do their investment in Pakistan and they refrain from spending a single rupee in Pakistan

War leaves an everlasting effect on the minds of people. The fear of dying and the fear of losing a loved one stay forever. I would even go to the extent of saying that going to through a war is tantamount to living in a hell.

War is mostly held between two countries, but all the alliances and treaties result in more than a dozen countries getting involved in the war. Their participation might not been seen in real terms but the countries cannot restrain themselves from helping their allies financially. So another adverse affect of wars is that it results in a world where people hate and despise each other gravely.

Role of Computer in today’s World - BA English Essay

Computer can be regarded the greatest achievement of this century. It so difficult to talk about what the role of computer is because computer has innumerable roles. Computer was first designed to facilitate a very big organization in America, but as the years progressed it started to be used commercially and eventually domestically. There are many tasks which can be completed by the use of computer, but I am just going to discuss some of the very important industries.

Computer is playing an integral role in our social life. We human beings are living in a society where we have to interact with other people. Computer is tool which has successfully enabled us to communicate with people for free. I remember a time when it used to be very expensive to make a call to any country in the western world, but now things have changed. People can easily send e-mail to each other and talk to each other on skype.

Computer has also helped me promote business activities and more countries which have thrived economically will have to give credit to the computer. Most purchases and sales are made via a computer. It can be said that computer is the single thing which actually initiated the globalization process. Computer has even changed the conventional means of purchase as most women in the western countries refrain from going to the stores as all the stores have made their online stores which have facilitated the people tremendously.

There was a time when teachers claimed that you won’t learn anything if you do not come to the class, but now teachers have made their own online lectures so that the students study in an easier way to impart knowledge.  There are many universities which have even made their online schools and everything has to be studied on the computer and even the exam has to be attempted on the internet.

Importance of Science - BA English Essay

Science has played a vital role in the life of every human being. Science has existed in our lives from centuries and the benefits which it has granted us have been enjoyed by everyone. There was a time where science was only prevalent in the first world countries but all the countries are striving to acquire the knowledge of the subject and

Science has played a vital role in the health sector. You would have heard that in the medieval times most people used to die because of not getting the proper treatment but now people get the medicines and many lives have been saved due to this fact. By the study of Biology we have been to study the human which would have been almost impossible without science.

There are some people who discuss otherwise. They claim that science has facilitated men to produce destructive weapons which have been a major cause of wars or battles in this world. I think that science gave them the knowledge to b productive but these evil people misused science and made things which devastated many lives.

Now I would like to see how Pakistan is using science. I think that Pakistan is far behind the world in the field of science. We have not been able to make our children aware of the science field and thus remained left behind in the field of science. There is one more thing I would like to suggest. It is that we should make science mandatory for all the students irrespective of the fact that they are commerce or science students.

Energy crisis in Pakistan - BA English Essay

Pakistan is experiencing the worst economic crisis since its creation. Factories and power looms are being closed down and the people do not have any idea what to do. There are many factors which have contributed towards the energy crisis and the government has failed miserably in solving this problem of load shedding.

Pakistan has been unable to build any major dam in the country. The population has been increasing very rapidly since 2000 and no government has started the work on the proposed Kalabagh Dam in the region. As the population has been increasing the electricity demand has also increase but the supply has remained the same. Lack of education has made people ignorant and heartless. People do not care to turn off the light in the room they are not sitting and they regard it a thing of pride to overuse electricity.

There are three other major reasons for the energy crises. They are circular debt, mismanagement of resources and corruption. A significant amount of electricity in Pakistan is produced by oil. Failure to pay the oil companies results in the low supply which results in energy crisis. The power plants, operating in
Pakistan, are either not operating on their full capacity or they are not even running. We all talk about the corruption done by the government officials, but we never talk about the corruption done the citizens who are perceived as innocent Pakistanis. At least 50% of Pakistanis are either not giving the electricity bill or are bribing the officials to reduce the amount of the bill.

There have been serious repercussions of the energy crisis. Everyone in Pakistan has been badly affected by the energy crisis. There was a common belief that only the poor people in Pakistan suffer, but energy crisis has also destroyed the lives of the rich people. Students are not able to learn or concentrate on their studies as the attention is diverted because of the 12-hour load shedding.  Industrialists have started relocating their industries to Bangladesh as it is no longer feasible for them to run their businesses in Pakistan. People belonging to the middle class are having great difficulty in finding the jobs because all the major businesses are either shutting down or making their employees redundant.

It is both the duty of government and the citizens to use electricity with care and denounce all those people who are involved in this corruption. Government, with its resources, can punish all the culprits severely so that a precedent is set no one could ever gain dare to steal electricity.

Inflation or Rising of prices - BA English Essay

Inflation is defined as the persistent increase in the general prices of the commodities. Anything under the 10% in bearable, but as the inflation rate gets more than 10% it is a matter of concern for the economists of the country. Pakistan has also been a victim of inflation during the past decade. People who have not studied economics might be alien to this term so I would like to expound it in simple terms. If there is a sudden increase in the price of oil and you have not received an increment in your salary that means that the increase in the oil price was due to inflation.

There are two main cause of inflation in any economy in the world and the same are the causes for the inflation in Pakistan. The two major causes are demand pull and cost-push inflation. Demand pull on inflation is when the demand for the product is so high that the producer contemplates of increasing the price of the product in order to earn abnormal profits. Cost-push inflation occurs when the cost of production increases for most of the products in the county. Cost-push inflation is normally caused by the action of the government. For instance there are 2 things which will cause the increase in the cost of production for everything being produced in the country. The first one is the fuel price and the second thing is electricity tariff. This is the real reason prices of the things fluctuate every week and it has made impossible for the people to manage their personal budget.

Inflation to a certain extent is good for the economy as people earn more money and they are even paid more money, but the situation worsens when the economy is hit by hyperinflation. Hyperinflation is term which is used to define inflation above the rate of 20%. Everyone is adversely hit by hyperinflation. It adds to uncertainty in the market and people stop investing at all. Employees on fixed income have to face the problem of a reduction in the real income, as the real value of money diminishes with inflation. People who have lent money also suffer as the real value of the money decreases and they lose a lot of money.

There is nothing a local businessman can do in order to control the inflation in a country. The initiative will have to be taken by the government and after setting a precedent the government should get people involved in it by holding different seminars and workshops to control this problem.

Kalabagh Dam - BA English Essay

Kalabagh Dam is a dilemma in Pakistan. Kalabagh Dam has met with extreme opposition from 3 provinces of Pakistan. Many people comment on this issue without any research, so they are unable to justify their point but before embarking on any conclusion I would like to discuss both point of views and I would like to give a conclusion in the most lucid manner possible.

Kalabagh Dam is a dam which will add more than 3,500 megawatts to the national grid and it will be able to solve the problem of load shedding. The project was proposed many years ago, but different governments of the country have had conflicting views regarding the dam.

Sindh has advocated terminating the idea of making the dam because it claims that it would harm the land and all the water generated because of the dam would only be beneficial to the lands in Punjab. There have been assurances of apposite distribution of water by certain leaders, but people of Sindh have rejected it because they feel that all these treaties and agreements have been broken in the past and the people of Sindh have explicitly stated that they would not suffer in the hands of the leaders who only safeguard the rights of Punjab.

There are many advantages of building the Kalabagh Dam. The most apparent benefit is that Pakistan would have adequate electricity to meet the demands of both industry and consumers. Kalabagh Dam will also help to store the water which is going to waste. Last year there were many floods in the area which completely ruined the rural villages and town, had the dam been built such disaster would have been easily prevented and many innocent lives could have been saved.

The government should come up with a solution which would remove the grievances of Sindh and I would highly recommend the current government to commence the work on Kalabagh Dam. All the people will have to acknowledge the fact that Kalabagh Dam is not only going to benefit Punjab, but the entire Pakistan. Adequate water supply will promote the development of industry which will boost the trade thus increase economic growth.

Poverty in Pakistan - BA English Essay

Pakistan is an agrarian economy which is regarded to be a developing country. About 60% of the population has to survive under $2 per day. Pakistan was considered an economic tiger in 1960s, but now at it has a very low economic growth and most of the investors are reluctant to put their money in the Pakistani economy because of the red tape and perpetual fear of the terrorism and unstable democratic system.

There are many causes for the poverty in Pakistan, but I would like to broach upon some of the issues. The biggest cause for poverty in Pakistan is that for the 60 years Pakistan has been on war for at least 6 times directly or indirectly. This means that either Pakistan has been fighting its own war or it has been fighting war in the name of “war against terror”. This has destroyed the economy and has forced business community to move towards countries like Bangladesh and India. In order to remove poverty from the country the government of Pakistan should keep itself away from wars as far as possible. Wars never get any positive result you can see the example of Europe. Europeans countries caused the World War 1 and 2, but now they have formed the European Union because they are well aware of the adverse consequences of war.

There is another cause of poverty which is called overpopulation. Some countries have been able to use their population to increase economic growth, but Pakistan has failed to do so. The only way to increase economic growth by increasing population is to educate the people and give then a certain skill which could contribute towards the economic growth, but most of the children in Pakistan are not even sent to schools and they do not acquire any knowledge. Government should make it a legal obligation on every parent to send their children to schools and every person in Pakistan should have minimum education of 12 years.

Poverty has not only harmed us economically, but also socially and legally. People who do not have enough money to meet their needs have to sustain pain which leads them to break the law. Lawlessness is the greatest in the country where people are deprived of the basic necessities and due to that they indulge in to criminal activities. It is sad to say but even immediate family members do not respect or love the person who is in financial difficulties and he or she is left secluded to dead with the atrocities of life.

Unemployment - BA English Essay

Unemployment is when a person between the ages of 18 and 65 is willing and able to work, but cannot find a job. Unemployment has crippled many economies in the world including Pakistan. It is one of the main objectives of a government to reduce unemployment.

One of the major causes of unemployment is lack of capital. Capital is another name for investment. It is imperative for an economy to be injected with foreign investment as it also encourages the local investors to make the move. People are not motivated to initiate a business which results in limited job opportunities. Another major cause of the unemployment is the mindset of the people of Pakistan. Students always expect to do a job after the completion of their education and they are never inclined to start their own business. This is the reason people keep waiting for the job and are ultimately discontented with their lives.

Some people link unemployment to lack of skill, but I believe that unemployment is lack of demand rather than lack of skill. An employer will not employ people in his or her organization due to the fact that he or she does not have enough demand for the products which are to be produced in his or her company. The only way to increase the demand for the products is to increase the real income of the middle class in the country.

Thriving economies like India and China have been encouraging their young people to be entrepreneurs whereas the Government of Pakistan especially Punjab Government is making every effort to throw all the skilled people out of the country. The government should hold workshops to make young educated people aware of the whole notion of small business. Another way to get rid of this menace is to reduce employment benefits. Unemployment benefit is the money given to a person who does not find job. This money should be sufficient to meet the everyday need of the person. Upon getting this unemployment benefit most people become lethargic and they stop searching for work which starts the vicious circle of unemployment.

Unemployment can have devastating effect on the people. Every effort should be made by the government to provide ample opportunities to the people who are willing to work. The government should also safeguard the interests of the people who cannot work.

Child labor - BA English Essay

Child labor is a concept in which a person under the age of 18 indulges himself into to paid work. People often associated this idea with the third world countries and many people seem to believe that the developing countries were the pioneers of this kind of work while according to the facts all these first world countries engaged the children in to the work in the industrial revolutions which were held in their countries.

Some people contemplate that working at younger age makes a person skilled and it is vital for the future and the children should not be barred from working, but I think otherwise. I see no benefits associated with the practice of child labor whatsoever. I strongly feel that not only the government, but also the people should make all efforts to abolish it from the society.

Firstly, child labor deprives the child of his or her childhood. A child has every right to enjoy his life, but child labor takes away this right mercifully. It is both duty and right of a child to acquire knowledge, but engaging in some kind of work makes it impossible as two things cannot be done by a single child.

Secondly, child labor always makes a child vulnerable to dangerous situations. For instance most of the countries in this world have declared child labor to be illegal even though it is being practiced, so the children who work under the age of 18 are practically working illegally so their employers do not provide them safe environment ;moreover, they also pay them less as no else would be ready to hire them as employees. Most of the accidents in the factories are connected to the children because either they are not skilled enough to use the machinery or the task which they are supposed to perform is dangerous.

You may ask anyone in this world about the problems in their world and everyone will undoubtedly say unemployment and low economic growth. I am going to tell how child labor stimulates these two problems and worsens the situation further. In a country like Pakistan there is high unemployment rate because the skilled people cannot find jobs due to the fact the greedy employers can easily hire children at a much lower rate. As these children are not skilled, they are bound to make mistakes. This lessens the production which finally ignites the problem of low economic growth.
